Without dwelling on it, it bears repeating: 2017 has been one of the most challenging years of my life. Thankfully, running gave me the outlet I needed to clear my head and recharge my batteries. I am so thankful for the friends by my side. They pushed me when I needed to be pushed, and caught me when I was falling. I missed out on my one and only marathon this year, but despite everything the “loot” of medals isn’t all that shabby! Three trail races, three 10 k’s, five half marathons, one 5-miler, one 7-miler and a half marathon relay. And now that my back is finally feeling better, who knows what  great things might happen in 2018? Let’s find out, shall we?

About Alex

Wife, runner, German native, beach bum, foodie, and wine lover. If you’re looking for info on how to run your next PR you’ve come to the wrong place. I’m not an expert on running or nutrition, and I won’t tell you what else you should or shouldn’t do. I'm fairly creative but notorious for starting fifty different projects and finishing (n)one. My blog is simply a collection of my personal experience in the crazy world of - running! Along the way I’ll also share what other random projects I’m currently into.
